New Electric Vehicle Advisory Mileage Rates

In September 2025, the way that mileage in an electric vehicle should be recorded was changed. Since then, there have been different rates for whether the vehicle was charged at home, or by using a public charger. 

 

If you use an electric vehicle for business and use the approved mileage rates to record this, it is worthwhile to record use of public chargers and how many miles were driven from that charge. 

 

Below are the current electric vehicle mileage rates.
